The Tahiti Yacht Rally starts with accommodation in Papeete at the Manava Suites Hotel where your room has a view of the Lagoon. Next embark on a brand new Bali 4.5 Catamaran, with 4 cabins and 4 bathrooms. Sail from Raiatea to Bora Bora one way, around Taha'a. We've taken out the long and difficult sailing bits for this journey. Then we include a 2 night luxury stay in an overwater bungalow at the Royal Huahine Hotel before finally returning to Papeete for overnight accomodation at the Manava Suites Hotel.
Even if you have travelled to Tahiti before, this is an experience to be lived, breathed, enjoyed and repeated.
Itinerary
Saturday August 10 – Hotel accommodation at the Manava Suites Hotel in Papeete
Sunday August 11 – Transfer to the airport for the Air Tahiti flight to Raiatea. Transfer to the yachts upon arrival in Uturoa. Enjoy BBQ in the marina, with live music
Monday August 12 –Sail to the Motu Tipaemauo – anchor in the lee of the palm trees along the shore, swim in the crystal clear water or snorkel on the reef
Tuesday August 13 – Race around Taha’a to anchor in front of the Taha’a Island Resort Hotel where you will be treated to a sumptuous dinner ashore.
Wednesday August 14 – Optional day tour of Taha’a with your hostess Jennifer
Thursday August 15 – Start the race to Bora Bora inside the lagoon, then cross the open sea with the wind on your beam. Dinner ashore at Bora Bora Yacht Club
Friday August 16 – Spend the day at leisure visiting Vaitape, the main town
Saturday August 17 – Sail around the north end of Bora Bora
Sunday August 18 – Return to Vaitape and disembark before taking an optional half day excursion that Jennifer will also host. Transfer to the airport in the afternoon for the flight to Huahine. Upon arrival transfer by boat from the airport to your accommodation in a luxurious overwater bungalow at the Royal Huahine Hotel.
Monday August 19 – Chill out for the day or visit the Huahine Yacht Club in Fare, the nearby main town.
Tuesday August 20 – Take the optional excursion around the island, again with Jennifer, before taking the return flight to Papeete in the afternoon. Transfer again to the Manava Suites Hotel for overnight accommodation before your departure or extension of your Tahitian Holiday.
Wednesday August 21 – Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
Who are the hosts?
When she’s not sharing her passion for the islands with others, you can find Jennifer on her yoga mat, swimming or loving every animal that passes her way.
Pierre enjoys sharing his extensive sailing knowledge and love for French Polynesia with others. When he isn’t sailing, you can find Pierre surfing or taking in the beauty of the islands from his beloved 60 ft. racing monohull “Lightspeed” which he calls home.
